-
Yes, if they're from the same household and comfortable together. Our Club House takes up to 5 cats and First Class up to 7. Bonded cats usually settle better sharing than they would if separated.
If cats who normally get along show tension during the stay, we'll contact you about moving them into separate suites.
-
Yes, we provide a private cat taxi service and do not partner with any third-party pet taxi service providers.
Our rates start at RM50 for the first 10 km, with an additional RM2.50 per km thereafter.
Preparing for Your Cat's Stay
-
All cats must be in good health, have valid vaccination records, and be free from contagious diseases or parasites.
Proof of vaccination must be presented prior to check-in. If your cat is medically unfit to be vaccinated, a vet's memo is required for a medical exemption.
-
What should I pack?
Your cat's usual food for the whole stay, plus a little extra in case they stay longer than planned. Any medication, with written dosing instructions. And something that smells like home — a blanket, a worn T-shirt, a favourite toy. A familiar scent does more for a cat's first night than anything we can provide.
See our Paw-ssenger Luggage Checklist for the full list.
-
10am–7pm daily, including Wednesdays. All check-ins and check-outs are strictly by appointment only.
Early or late check-in/check-out charges apply outside these hours.
-
Most cats take a day or two to settle, and that's completely normal. Some hide, some eat less, some sit at the back of the suite and watch. We don't rush that.
We let your cat come out of the carrier in their own time rather than lifting them out. We approach at their level, never from above. All our suites have a curtain blind specifically for first-timers and shy cats — giving them somewhere to feel unseen and extra privacy while they adjust. Feliway diffusers are provided when required as part of boarding care.
If your cat is anxious, tell us before the stay. We'd rather know.
-
Yes, and we'd encourage it. Come and see the suites, meet us, and see how the space feels. Most owners decide within five minutes of walking in. Message us on WhatsApp to arrange a time.
During Your Cat's Stay
-
Short answer: no.
Every guest stays in their own private suite with no cross-contact with other cats at any point. We're cat-only, so there are no dogs on the premises either — no barking, no unfamiliar animal scent.
Cats from the same household can share a suite if they're bonded.
-
Yes, every suite has 24/7 CCTV in the room itself, and you can view it from your phone.
You'll also receive a daily update from us — photos and videos, plus a written report covering how your cat was doing that day, their food intake, and their litter tray use.
-
We monitor your cat's appetite, litter tray use and behaviour every day, so changes usually show up early — that's part of what goes into your daily report.
If we notice something concerning, we'll contact you as soon as possible to discuss the next step together. Where treatment is needed, we're able to bring your cat for the necessary medical attention.
All veterinary costs shall be borne by the owner. Vet transport, handling and after-hours emergency charges (if any) apply.
If the owner and/or emergency contact cannot be reached, we will make medical decisions in good faith based on the attending veterinarian's professional advice.
-
Our team is on site from 9:30am to 7pm daily. Outside those hours, we monitor guests through CCTV, which we can access at any time.
That's a deliberate choice as much as a practical one. Overnight is when cats settle best, and a quiet building with no human traffic gives them the space to properly rest, which is exactly what most cats do at home anyway.
-
Yes. Oral medication is RM5 per administration. We also offer wound care from RM10 and dressing changes at RM20.
If your cat is recovering from surgery or managing a chronic condition, message us before booking so we can talk through what they need.
-
We're happy to care for cats recovering from neutering or spaying and from other non-contagious conditions, using the medication and wound care described above.
Before booking, we'd recommend checking with your vet that your cat is well enough to recover away from home — every cat and every procedure is different, and your vet knows your cat's specific situation best. Once you've got the go-ahead, message us on WhatsApp with details of the surgery or condition, and we'll talk through what your cat will need during the stay.
Fear Free & Cat Handling
-
Fear Free is a certification focused specifically on reducing fear, anxiety and stress for animals in professional care. For cat boarding, it's built around reading how a cat is actually feeling in the moment — not assuming, and not applying the same handling to every cat regardless of how they respond.
-
No. Paldives itself is not Fear Free Certified as a facility. The Fear Free Boarding & Daycare certification is awarded to individuals.
Our co-founder, Laura, holds the Fear Free Boarding & Daycare certification personally, and the whole team works according to those principles day to day. Click the link below and search for "Johor Bahru".
-
No approach removes stress entirely. Moving to an unfamiliar place is a big change for any cat, and that's true everywhere, not just here.
What Fear Free changes is how we respond to it: we notice the early signs, adjust rather than push through, and tell you if your cat needs more time to settle.
-
It starts with removing what causes stress in the first place. Every suite is private and cat-only, with no shared space and no contact with another cat — and no dogs anywhere on the premises. Handling is slow and led by the cat, never rushed. Where it helps, we lean on familiar comforts: your cat's own food, a scent from home, and calming aids like Feliway.
Lower stress isn't only about comfort in the moment. It shows up in appetite, rest and how well a cat's immune system holds up, which matters most for cats who are anxious, older, or in recovery.
-
Here are some of the practices we follow:
Your cat leaves the carrier in their own time; we don't force them out or lift them out.
We approach at their level, never from above.
We read body language, including tail carriage, whisker position and breathing, and back off before a cat has to tell us twice.
It shows up in our facilities too:
All our suites have a curtain blind so a shy cat can choose to be unseen while they adjust, rather than being on full view from day one.
We use low-scent, vet-approved disinfectants and keep the team fragrance-free.
Feliway diffusers are provided when required as part of our boarding care.
